Shopify admin login - website

• Go to accounts.shopify.com or your store admin URL.
• Enter the email address associated with your Shopify account, then your password.
• Click Log in. If 2FA is enabled, enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app.

Direct login to the Shopify admin panel

• Append `/admin` to your original store URL: `https://yourstorename.myshopify.com/admin`.
• Enter your email and password to land directly in the store backend.

This is the fastest route if you bookmark it. Save the bookmark with the `.myshopify.com` URL, not your custom domain.

Logging in via the Shopify mobile app

1. Download and install the Shopify app from the App Store or Google Play.
2. Open the app and tap Log in on the welcome screen.
3. Enter the email associated with your Shopify store and tap Continue.
4. Enter your password and tap Log in.
5. If 2FA is enabled, enter your authenticator code.
6. You will land on your store dashboard.

Switching between multiple stores

• Tap your profile icon in the bottom-right corner.
• Tap Switch accounts to jump between stores or add a new one.

Social login (Google, Apple)

Shopify supports signing in with Google and Apple if you linked those identities to your Shopify account. On the login screen, pick Continue with Google or Continue with Apple and complete the provider prompt. 2FA still applies if it is enabled on the Shopify account.

Shopify POS login

Admin login

• Open the Shopify POS app.
• Tap Log in and enter your admin email and password.
• Enter your 2FA code if prompted.
• Choose the store and location.

Staff login with PIN

After the admin has logged in, staff can use their PINs (set in Shopify admin under *Settings > Users and permissions*).

Remote login with code

• Generate a one-time code in the POS app.
• Enter the code on the activation page in admin and log in with admin credentials.

Single Sign-On (SSO) for Shopify Plus

Shopify Plus supports SAML-based SSO via Okta, Azure AD (Entra ID), Google Workspace, and OneLogin. Your admin enables it under *Settings > Users and permissions > Security*. Once enabled, staff log in through your organization SSO portal instead of with a Shopify password.

Accessing multiple Shopify accounts

On mobile

• Open the Shopify app.
• Tap the Account drawer (profile icon).
• Select Switch accounts and then Add account.
• Log in with the other Shopify account.

On desktop

• Use an incognito window or a different browser profile to sign into a second account.
• Or use Shopify built-in account switcher at accounts.shopify.com.

Recovering your Shopify password

• Click Forgot your password? on the login page.
• Shopify emails a reset link to the account email; follow it to set a new password.
• If you have lost access to the email *and* 2FA, you will need to open a Shopify support ticket from the recovery page - keep your store URL and a recent invoice handy for verification.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

2FA is required on all Shopify accounts in 2026. Supported methods:

• Authenticator apps (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, Microsoft Authenticator)
• Security keys (YubiKey, Titan) via WebAuthn
• SMS (legacy, being phased out - move to an authenticator app)
