Shopify Login Guide 2026: Admin, Mobile App, POS & Partner Accounts

By Sharon Nath ·

The 2026 Shopify login guide - every way to access Shopify Admin, Mobile App, POS, Partner Dashboard and SSO, plus fixes for the most common login errors.

Last updated: June 14, 2026. This is the most complete Shopify login guide for 2026 - every way to access Shopify Admin, the Mobile App, POS, the Partner Dashboard and SSO, with fixes for the login errors that trip people up most often.

Important: Always use the original `.myshopify.com` domain that was generated when you signed up (e.g. `yourstorename.myshopify.com`). Even if you have customized your storefront domain, the original `.myshopify.com` URL is required for admin login.

EcoReturns cuts refund leakage 25-40% with AI-driven exchanges, EcoShip rate-shops 100+ carriers on every label, and Saara MCP lets you run admin queries from Claude or ChatGPT. Shopify admin login - website

Tip: If your store handles a lot of returns, bookmark yourstorename.myshopify.com/admin/apps too - that's where EcoReturns lives once installed, and it's the page you will open most often after login.

Direct login to the Shopify admin panel

This is the fastest route if you bookmark it. Save the bookmark with the `.myshopify.com` URL, not your custom domain.

Power user move: pair the bookmark with Saara MCP so you can ask Claude or ChatGPT "show me today's open returns" or "refund order #1234" without clicking into admin at all. See the Shopify MCP server guide.

Logging in via the Shopify mobile app

  1. Download and install the Shopify app from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Open the app and tap Log in on the welcome screen.
  3. Enter the email associated with your Shopify store and tap Continue.
  4. Enter your password and tap Log in.
  5. If 2FA is enabled, enter your authenticator code.
  6. You will land on your store dashboard.

Switching between multiple stores

Managing returns on the go? The Shopify mobile app shows orders but not return analytics. The EcoReturns merchant dashboard is mobile-friendly and lets you approve, reject, or escalate returns from your phone in one tap.

Social login (Google, Apple)

Shopify supports signing in with Google and Apple if you linked those identities to your Shopify account. On the login screen, pick Continue with Google or Continue with Apple and complete the provider prompt. 2FA still applies if it is enabled on the Shopify account.

Admin login

Staff login with PIN

After the admin has logged in, staff can use their PINs (set in Shopify admin under *Settings > Users and permissions*).

Remote login with code

In-store returns matter too. EcoReturns supports POS returns - shoppers who bought online can return in-store and your staff sees the original order, eligibility, and exchange options directly in POS.

Shopify Partner Dashboard login

If you are a Shopify Partner (agency, developer, or affiliate), log in at the Shopify Partner Dashboard. Partner accounts are separate from store admin accounts and have their own password and 2FA. Looking for an agency partner? See our top Shopify Plus agencies list.

Single Sign-On (SSO) for Shopify Plus

Shopify Plus supports SAML-based SSO via Okta, Azure AD (Entra ID), Google Workspace, and OneLogin. Your admin enables it under *Settings > Users and permissions > Security*. Once enabled, staff log in through your organization SSO portal instead of with a Shopify password.

Shopify Plus brands typically pair SSO with deeper automation - see how FlyOS runs always-on AI agents over returns, CX, and inventory data so your team spends less time inside admin in the first place.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

2FA is required on all Shopify accounts in 2026. Supported methods:

Save your backup codes when you set 2FA up. They are the only way back in if you lose your device.

Common Shopify login errors and fixes

| Error | Likely cause | Fix | |---|---|---| | "Your account could not be authenticated" | Wrong email or stale session | Sign out fully at accounts.shopify.com, clear cookies for `myshopify.com`, try again | | "Invalid 2FA code" | Authenticator time drift | In Google Authenticator, *Settings > Time correction for codes > Sync now* | | Endless redirect loop on `/admin` | Third-party cookies blocked | Allow third-party cookies for `*.myshopify.com` or use a private window | | "Store unavailable" | Store paused or frozen | Check billing in admin; contact Shopify if frozen | | POS will not accept PIN | Staff record removed | Admin re-creates staff PIN under *Settings > Users and permissions* | | SSO error after IdP change | SAML metadata out of date | Re-upload IdP metadata under *Settings > Users and permissions > Security* |
